Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, maintain session state, and collect analytics data. Related technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage — browser storage mechanisms we also use on this Site, described below.

Cookies and storage we use on ai-health-apps.com

1. Strictly necessary — consent preference

Name Storage type Purpose Expires
cookie-consent localStorage Stores your cookie-consent choice ("accepted" or "rejected") so we don't re-prompt on every visit. Persists until you clear browser data

This storage entry is set regardless of your consent choice — it is strictly necessary for the consent-management mechanism to function. No personal or tracking data is associated with it.

2. UI state — session preferences

Name Storage type Purpose Expires
top-bar-dismissed sessionStorage Remembers that you dismissed the featured-product top bar so it doesn't reappear during your current session. End of browser session
mobile-bar-dismissed sessionStorage Remembers that you dismissed the mobile CTA bar during your current session. End of browser session

These are not tracking storage entries. They contain only a flag ("1") with no personal data.

3. Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (consent required)

Name Set by Purpose Expires
_ga Google (GA4 ID: G-09W4ZF20T2) Distinguishes unique visitors. Used to count sessions and page views. 2 years
_ga_09W4ZF20T2 Google (GA4) Maintains session state for the GA4 measurement ID for this Site. 2 years

GA4 analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept" on the consent banner. If you click "Reject", no GA4 cookies are placed and no analytics events are fired for your visit. This is enforced by Google Consent Mode v2 configured with a default-deny state.

GA4 data collected includes: page views, scroll depth, approximate location (country/region only — not precise GPS), device/browser type, and outbound link clicks. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. We do not use Google Signals, cross-device tracking, or remarketing. GA4 data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted by Google.

For Google's full data-processing terms, see the Google Privacy Policy ↗.

4. Affiliate network cookies (third-party, merchant domain)

When you click an affiliate link on this Site and are redirected to a partner's website, that partner or their affiliate network may place tracking cookies on the partner's domain (not on ai-health-apps.com). These cookies attribute any subsequent purchase or signup to our referral so we can be paid the commission.

Key affiliate cookies you may encounter on partner sites include:

  • Awin: AWC — set on the merchant's domain by Awin's network to attribute your visit. Managed by Awin's Privacy Policy ↗.
  • Impact — sets a click-ID via URL parameter and a session cookie on the merchant's domain. Managed by Impact's Privacy Policy ↗.
  • FlexOffers, CJ Affiliate, Acceleration Partners — similar tracking mechanisms on the respective merchant domains. See each network's privacy policy for details.

These third-party cookies are outside our control. They are governed by the respective affiliate network's and merchant's privacy policies, not ours. For a full list of networks we use, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Legal basis under GDPR

  • Strictly necessary cookies and UI-state storage: no consent required; processed under our legitimate interest in providing a functional website experience (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Analytics cookies (GA4): processed on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given via the consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time (see below).
  • Affiliate network cookies on merchant sites: governed by the legal bases stated in each merchant's and network's own GDPR disclosures.

How to manage or opt out of cookies

Withdraw consent for analytics

To withdraw consent for GA4 analytics cookies, clear the cookie-consent entry from your browser's localStorage for ai-health-apps.com. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose "Reject". You can clear localStorage via your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → ai-health-apps.com) or by clearing all site data in browser settings.

Browser cookie settings

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage entries may affect site functionality (e.g. the consent banner will re-prompt on every page load). Instructions vary by browser:

Google Analytics opt-out

You can opt out of GA4 measurement across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on ↗.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies or change our analytics setup. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
